STEPHANIE ZAMBRA (ROCHE)

Owner

Stephanie is a professional footballer for The Republic of Ireland national team and Shamrock Rovers. Stephanie is well known as one of Ireland’s best female football players. She is most widely known for her spectacular goal for Peamount United vs Wexford in 2013 which was nominated for FIFA Puskas Goal of the year award. Stephanie has had a remarkable career as a professional footballer playing her football in some of the best leagues in the world, Ligue 1 (France) National Women's Soccer League (USA) Women's Super League (England) and Serie A (Italy). She has also had two spells with Peamount United winning two league titles, a league cup and an FAI Cup as well as winning two All Stars and two Golden Boot awards. Stephanie has also been one of Ireland’s most important players during her career with several winning goals and a competitive hat trick to her name. She quickly became a fan favourite as her technical brilliance, goal scoring and creative passing endeared her to Irish fans during her international career which started at Under 14. Stephanie has been a big campaigner for women in sport and was a prominent member of the Irish team that took a stand against lack of pay, conditions and equality in treatment for Irish Women's football teams. The actions those players took directly brought about change for the next generation and has helped establish minimum standards of professionalism for players in Ireland. One of those changes is for the first time ever there are professional contracts on offer in the Women's National League and Stephanie has just joined Ireland’s leading club Shamrock Rovers for their first year at senior level in nearly a decade.
